讓阿嬤對政府失去信心的事還不只這端，那天，阿嬤講了一個流傳在組合屋的笑話；去年十月二十五日前夕，為了要把大家趕出組合屋，政府提出了的各項補助措施，在廣告上打得響亮，住在隔壁鄰居的吳姓獨居老人，聽說有五萬元的急難救助金，當然「心動不如馬上行動」地，就找了朋友一起到位於台中縣東勢鎮老人會館的＜九二一震災災後生活重建中心＞（官方委託民間團體在災區各鄉／鎮／市設置的服務機構，基本上只有「消化預算」的功能）去申請。

＜九二一震災災後生活重建中心＞社工人員也「照表抄課」地拿出一些表格，要求吳老先生填寫後，開始向他詢問一些問題，不知是不是「奉公守法」的承辦人員太「認真」，還是吳老先生太緊張，讓吳老先生一直覺得，他被人挖掘自己的隱私，突然被問到：「你有沒有兒女呢？」

吳老伯伯有點感傷的說：「年輕時曾娶妻生子，後來離異了，孩子都跟了母親，已經幾十年沒有連絡了！如今也不知道他們的下落。」

社工人員自認明察秋毫，笑瞇瞇地的說：「吳伯伯不用怕，現在戶政很發達，只要你把身份證給我，就可以上電腦連線找出你的“不孝子”來。」

聽到“不孝子”三個字，吳老先生心疼了好一會，一想到這麼多年沒有能盡到一點父親的責任，就不免愧疚。

社工人員看到吳老先生若有所失的樣子，就更進一步說：「如果找到他們，還不願意奉養父親，我會到法院告他們“棄養”，所以，伯伯你不用怕，其實你還不需要這筆急難救助金，只要把你的兒子找回奉養你，才是最完美的決解之道。」

古早人有在講：虎毒不食子！今天為了一點小錢，竟要告自己的兒子，吳老先生馬上就改口說：「今天只是路過此地，看看＜九二一震災災後生活重建中心＞為災民服務些什麼？時候也不早了，我該走了。」頭也不回地拔腿就走，深怕再待上一會，可能連心臟都負荷不了！

這就是活脫脫的官方嘴臉，為了要把災民驅趕出去，先放出風聲，誘之以利，等到「傻」災民上鉤了，又要「省錢」地唬弄他們，甚至不惜引導百姓興訟？原來，政府就是處心積慮算計百姓、對付人民的機構？或許還少了一句－並且千方百計圖利財團、將國家資源輸送給資本家們的衙門？

吳老先生的故事，回到組合屋後，卻成為大家的笑柄。只不過，笑聲中還帶著無限的悲哀和無奈．．．．（待續）
